“ Classic can be hit or miss if your from out of town your in the right spot! Stay out then tourist eateries ”
“ Great food from Chinese Kitchen! Best in the City hands down. Would recommend to anyone that visits. ”
“ I used to grow up eating this fried rice as a lil kid, I love their combo fried rice with the homemade sweee sauce that comes in their lil sauce cups. This place things bring back so much memories, nowadays they have changed ownership but the food is still delicious, so I have heard. They only use darkmeat in their fried chicken and I recommend their fried rice with the special sauce that cost extra on the side ”
“ The most consistent Chinese restaurant in New Orleans! You know what you are going to get, which is good food. It never disappoints. The egg rolls are top tier. I do miss not being able to dine inside but it doesn't deter me from visiting. Service is consistent, no bells or whistles. ”
“ The food is good. I always get shrimp with lobster sauce. The cashier is friendly. The restrooms are clean. ”
“ So this is place is apart of my childhood memories. Whenever we could come to the city be it to visit family or for festivals or anything we always stopped here. I can remember my mom's order for us! Me and my brothers would split an 11A and she would order a large shrimp fried rice with $2 worth of extra shrimp and extra eggs. This was when prices was prices lol. For the sake of childhood memories I had to stop. The inside is still the same the only thing is that the front sitting area is just a waiting area for take out. But it's looks the exact same way the bamboo it's all there. Now there is no longer an 11 A it's just a 11 and of course the prices are not the same. The only issue I had was now you have to pay for fortune cookies they aren't included with your meal. It's 10 for a $1 but it's the principle. The wait for short I got three 11's and my total was $52 and some change. I got it to go and the food was still hot when I made it back to Baton Rouge and the taste was just as a remembered. It was more than enough food to feed three people over two days. ”
“ The quality of the chicken in its sweet and sour chicken is so unmatched. Quick in and out. No always the friendliest customer service, not rude just very stoic. ”
“ Ordered online & my food was ready when I arrived. The chicken was hot and crispy. & Of course the egg roll gone hit every time! ”
“ The service and ambiance is like going through a drive-thru they take your order and you get a number on your ticket and wait for your order in another area. Not the best looking facility because it's a old restaurant. They are usually pretty quick but if you have to wait it's definitely worth the wait. My food is always fresh and seasoned well. ”
“ I feel like Chinese Kitchen has the East Bank on lock and China Doll has the west bank on lock. Prior to 2020, it was years since I visited this restaurant. During Covid I came, waited in line and ordered my usual (sweet and sour chicken) but it just didn't do it for me. I decided to give them another try and it was better this time around but still not how it used to be. My only complaint is that the chicken lacked seasoned. Once you add the sweet and sour sauce, it taste great but if you're eating it without the sauce, it doesn't have any seasoning. Other then that, everything was good. The rice was delicious, loved the sweet and sour sauce, and the egg roll was good. FYI : cash only and there will be a line but the line moves quick. ”
